The annual scientific congress of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE) will take place from Wednesday, May 3 through Sunday, May 7, 2017, in Austin, Texas. Endocrinology Advisor will be reporting the latest news throughout the coming days.
The theme of this year’s AACE meeting is “Driving Innovation,” which will focus on the latest medical and technological advances in endocrinology. To that end, the AACE meeting committee’s goal is to “leverage new interactive digital technology” for an optimal conference experience.
In addition, the new AACE president Jonathan Leffert, MD, FACP, FACE, ECNU, will officially begin his term on Saturday, May 6.

Wednesday — Pre-congress sessions on Advanced Diabetes Technology Concepts and Advanced Diabetes Technology Skills Practice
Thursday — Sessions on bone health and precision medicine for diabetes and a meet-the-experts session: Interpreting Lipid Guidelines: How Low Should You Go?
Friday — Innovations in Evaluation and Management of Adrenal Diseases; Heart Failure: The Frequent, Forgotten, and Fatal Complication of Type 2 Diabetes; and Metabolic Bone Disease: What’s New in 2017?
Saturday — Select Abstract Oral Presentations as well as meet-the-expert sessions on Continuous Glucose Monitoring in Pregnancy and Unique Populations and Challenging Pituitary Cases.
Sunday — Multidisciplinary Approach sessions on various diseases including hypoparathyroidism and thyroid cancer.
