General (including evidence of efficacy) A variety of arrhythmias may be encountered during coronary angiography and intervention. They can range in seriousness from premature complexes to potentially lethal ventricular fibrillation. Life-threatening arrhythmias occur in <1% of all cardiac catheterizations.
